Grandma Masick's Baked Macaroni

Ingredients
  • 1 each Onion, Finely Diced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 pound Elbow Macaroni, Cooked
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
  • 8 ounces Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated
Preparation
  1. Saute onion and butter until clear. Turn off heat and add tomatoes.
  2. Add layer of macaroni in baking dish. Cover with tomato/onion mix. Grate cheddar cheese over layer.
  3. Repeat layer.
  4. Cover with foil & bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
  5. Remove cover and bake an additional 15 minutes to brown the top.
