End All Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 each Onion, Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic
  • 2 ounces Italian Sausage (Optional)
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Italian Style Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic & Oregano
  • 12 ounces Tomato Paste
  • 12 ounces Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • As Needed Thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • As Needed Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 4 each Sprigs Fresh Parsley
  • As Needed Sugar
  • 6 each Fresh Mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons Asiago Cheese, Grated
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1/4 cup Carrots, Shredded
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil
Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in soup pot, add onion, pepper and 2 cloves of garlic. Saute until onions are translucent.
  2. Add sausage if desired; drain.
  3. Mix in the rest of ingredients.
  4. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.

Tip: If meat sauce is preferred, add 1 pound of browned and drained ground beef and simmer 1/2 hour in sauce.
