FAQ Category: Products
Does Furmano’s offer any tomato products without seeds?
Yes, we offer Tomato Puree and Tomato Sauce without seeds.
Do you offer products that are low in sodium?
Most of our tomato products are considered low sodium (140 mg of sodium or less) thanks to the lower sodium sea salt we use. Lower sodium sea salt is a type of salt that contains a reduced amount of sodium compared to regular sea salt or table salt but keeps the same great taste. Refer to the product pages to see if it is considered low sodium.
Where can I find nutritional information on products?
Product details, nutritional facts and a complete ingredient listing can be found for each product. To see our complete list of product offerings, click here.
Do your tomato products contain GMO’s?
We’re committed to providing our customers with non-GMO products. Look for the Non-GMO Project Verified icon on the label.
Are your products gluten free?
Yes. All our Furmano’s tomatoes and Grab & Go items are gluten free.
What are the “natural flavorings and “spices” in Furmano’s?
“Natural Flavors” and “Spices” are naturally sourced ingredients that boost flavor and amplify taste to many foods. Since they are highly concentrated and used in small amounts, manufacturers are not required to list them individually in the ingredient listing. The natural flavors and spices used in our products vary but are typically basil, oregano or garlic.
Contact us at +1 (877) 877-6032 if you need additional information on a specific product that contains natural flavorings or spices.
Do your products contain any allergens?
No. None of our tomato products or Grab & Go items contain allergens from the nine major foods or food groups (Wheat, Soybean, Peanut, Milk, Tree Nuts, Sesame, Crustaceans, Fish, and Eggs) as defined by the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA).
Where do your tomatoes come from?
At Furmano Foods, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated business, growing and packing our tomatoes right in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. For over 100 years, we’ve been cultivating our own tomatoes on local farms, ensuring the highest quality and freshness. We also partner with trusted neighboring growers from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey—many of whom have worked with us for generations.
Our tomatoes are harvested at their peak and canned within hours, capturing their sweet, vine-ripened flavor. This legacy of farming, family, and quality has been at the heart of Furmano’s for over a century.

Are canned tomatoes ready to eat, or do I have to cook them?
Canned tomatoes are fully cooked during the canning process, which preserves them and ensures they are safe to eat straight from the can. While they are often used in recipes that require additional cooking, no further preparation is necessary if you want to enjoy them as is.
