Spaghetti Pie

Ingredients
  • 4 cups Spaghetti, Cooked
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 2 each Eggs, Beaten
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine noodles, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, eggs, butter, parsley, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  3. Press the mixture on the bottom and up the sides of a large pie plate, to form a crust out of the pasta.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the remaining parmesan, Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the cheese mixture over the spaghetti crust.
  6. Pour spaghetti sauce over the cheese.
  7. Cover the edges of the crust loosely with strips of aluminum foil to prevent over-browning.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil from edges of pie and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top of the pie.
  10. Return the pie to the oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese has melted and slightly browned.
  11. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
