Addictive Asian Influenced Chili

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground Pork Hot Sausage
  • 1 each Onion, Finely Diced
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, Minced or Grated
  • 1/3 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Prepared Asian Peanut Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Plum Jam
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Petite Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
  • 1 7/8 cups Chili-Seasoned Beans, Undrained
  • 1/4 cup Pine Nuts, Lightly Toasted
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions, Diced
Preparation
  1. Crumble sausage into a large dutch oven or deep skillet.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring to break up sausage into small crumbles, over medium heat until lightly browned.
  3. Drain, then add chili powder, cumin, ginger, hoisin sauce, peanut sauce, jam, tomatoes and chili beans.
  4. Let simmer, stirring frequently for about 30 minutes.
  5. To serve, spoon into individual bowls and top with pine nuts and diced green onions. Serve immediately.
