Eric joined Furmano’s in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Wilkes University, a master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Penn State. His background combines scientific expertise with strong business insight.
In his role, Eric is responsible for ensuring that Furmano’s products consistently meet the company’s quality and food safety standards. He also leads the organization’s safety programs, supporting a safe and reliable work environment across all operations. He values the company-wide commitment to doing things correctly and maintaining high standards at every level of the organization.
Eric’s favorite Furmano’s products include Diced Tomatoes and Tomato Sauce just like his Mom and Nana used when he was a kid. Today they remain staples in his family’s kitchen, especially for making chili.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hiking, and following Penn State athletics.
