Tomato & Spinach Garlic Pizza

Ingredients
  • 1 each Pizza Dough
  • 8 ounces Romano Cheese
  • 12 ounces Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Whole Peeled Tomatoes
  • 10 ounces Frozen Whole Spinach
  • 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Meal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
Preparation
  1. Heat pizza stone in a 500 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes.
  2. Roll out pizza dough to fit your pizza stone.
  3. Grate Romano cheese finely.
  4. Grate mozzarella cheese.
  5. Drain water from can of Furmano's Whole Peeled Tomatoes and tear into clumps.
  6. Microwave spinach for 2 minutes. Turn over and microwave for another 2 minutes.
  7. When done, drain water from spinach and toss in 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.
  8. Take pizza stone out of oven and sprinkle with the corn meal.
  9. You must work quickly while the stone stays hot! Place dough on top of corn meal.
  10. Evenly spread out the mozzarella cheese and then top with the Romano cheese.
  11. Add the tomatoes evenly on the dough and top with the spinach.
  12. Add salt and pepper.
  13. With a pastry brush, brush the edges of the dough with the remaining extra virgin olive oil.
  14. Sprinkle the edges of the dough with 1 tablespoon garlic powder. Evenly sprinkle the remaining garlic powder over the entire pizza.
  15. Place stone back in oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the bottom of the dough is a golden brown.
