Ingredients
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic, Minced
6 ounces Tomato Paste
6 fluid ounces Water
7 cups
Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes
1 tablespoon Parsley
1 teaspoon Basil
8 ounces Apple Sauce
1/2 cup Romano Cheese, Grated
1 each Whole Onion, Peeled
Preparation
In a frying pan, saute olive oil and garlic until garlic is translucent, then add tomato paste.
Add water and simmer for 15 minutes; set aside.
In a large sauce pan, combine Furmano's Crushed Tomatoes, parsley, basil, apple sauce, Romano cheese, and onion.
Add ingredients from frying pan to mixture in the sauce pan; simmer for 1 hour. (Don't overcook.)
Remove the whole onion and discard.
Serve over linguine or your favorite pasta.
