Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1/3 cup Onion, Chopped
  • 2 cups Furmano's Red Kidney Beans
  • 3 1/2 cups Furmano's Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
Preparation
  1. In a 2-quart saucepan, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic; stir 2 to 3 minutes, until onion is softened.
  3. Drain and rinse Furmano's Red Kidney Beans.
  4. Add Furmano's Red Kidney Beans, Furmano's Diced Tomatoes and chili powder; stir well.
  5. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

Tip: For a spicier flavor, add 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon oregano leaves, 1 teaspoon cocoa, and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce, in addition to the chili powder. Vary the chili by adding more beans or using different kinds of beans such as pinto. Lentils are also good in chili.
