Chad is a member of the 4th generation of Furman family to serve Furmano Foods.
While his “career” unofficially started in the tomato fields when he was 11, after graduating from Penn State University, Chad chose to pursue a career in the finance field with Johnson & Johnson instead. There, he was a member of their Financial Leadership Development program, holding numerous roles across their corporate, consumer and pharmaceutical sectors.
Chad returned to Furmano’s in 2009, serving as Vice President of Organizational Strategy and Growth before being unanimously elected President of Furmano Foods in 2012. He now holds the additional titles of C.E.O. and Chairman of the Board.
Since then, he’s achieved numerous leadership positions and accomplishments: serving on the Board of the Northumberland National Bank, and the PA Agriculture Advisory Board to the PA Secretary of Agriculture. Chad is a Certified Financial Manager through the Institute of Management Accountants, and is a Certified Six Sigma, Process Excellence Greenbelt. He also received his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business through their Cross-Continent program, graduating with honors as a Fuqua Scholar.
Today, Chad shepherds Furmano’s based on Biblical principles and the core values established by founders John and Emma Furman – ensuring every step taken is towards a healthy tomorrow for the generations to come. He loves that Furmano’s truly cares – about the team, the families they serve, the land they care for and the world through the eyes of God. His favorite product is the Pizza Sauce, which he calls “hands-down best on the market”, because of the memories he has making pizzas with his family.
