Conduct and oversee the contracting and procurement of commodities at Furmano Foods, Inc (FFI). The Commodities Buyer has direct responsibility for acquiring dry beans, bulk tomato paste, sugars and corn sweeteners. The Commodities Buyer will also help with strategic sourcing of copack items and will assist with analysis of Natural Gas, steel and tinplate markets. The Commodities Buyer will manage a commodity strategy that delivers optimal position for pricing, quality and service. This position is a key contributor the company’s long term Supply Chain success so the person must be a “Strategic Thinker." Responsible for $35 million to $60 million in annual spend.
The Continuous Improvement Supervisor will drive productivity and continuous Improvement activities across the organization. This position will lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement Teams on Operations systems at the plant level. This role is responsible for leading rapid change in manufacturing, warehousing and logistics efficiencies by using Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Works with other leaders to drive rapid results to deliver the highest levels of performance and ensures that the company has all the necessary tools, training, and metrics to drive improvement and growth.
